‘Novelty is seldom the essential. This has to do with one thing only; making a subject better from its intrinsic nature.’ Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec
This is the essence of the second wonderful pictorial collaboration between the british designer Mary Katranzou and the young but intellectually refined american photographer Erik Madigan Heck (contributor at A Magazine & founder of the Nomenus Quarterly, a high-end cultural publication - the world’s most expensive magazine, by the way).
As it is said that art stays and fashion goes, this pictorial comes to stimulate our visual narratives and intellectual curiosity throughout aesthetic metaphors inspired by the vivid colors of the french ‘les nabis’ painters, with a touch of Frida Khalo’s surrealism and Klimt’s pictorial ornamentalism.
